This website has been created by Daniel N. Myers, an attorney and noted authority on Winston S. Churchill. For 15 years, I have worked with the Churchill Centre (now known as the International Churchill Society) in Washington and in Chicago, first as its Executive Director, and subsequently as its Chief Financial Officer. In recent years I have also served as Chief Management Officer and overseer of the organization's finances and conferences.
My interest in history and in the life of Winston Churchill goes back to my early days in school during the 1950s - 1960s when I loved to read about and imagine life in England during the days of Sir Winston. It was amazing to me that a man of his character and charm could come to address the many issues, problems and challenges that he must have had to endure throughout the end of the 19th Century, and the first half of the 20th Century. A truly amazing life and times.
In this blog, I will seek to respond to interested parties who ask about Sir Winston, his life and times, and the problems he encountered. I will also comment on the various Churchill news items, Churchill in the news, and on the many occasions and problems that may come to light in the news. Some of the news items will be accurate, some not. Hopefully, I can distinguish the two.
